Tournament Information                    

Dates:  Oct 17-19, 2008

Eligibility: The tournament is open to amateurs who have been invited by the Tournament Committee, or who have qualified through participation in the Local Qualifier.

Format:   The tournament format is 54 holes, stroke play. The field will be limited to 72 players, with no cut.

Entry Procedure: If you have received an invitation (they go out about July 31st) from the committee, click on the " Accept Invitation" link above to register using the username & password provided with your invitation.

If not, click on the "Apply to Play" link above to enter the Local Qualifier or to request an invitation from the Committee . If you did not play last year, be sure to include a complete resume if you are requesting a Committee invitation.  We need this not only for the Committee's consideration but for the media as well. The final field will consist of Committee invitees and a number of local qualifiers depending on the size of the qualifying field.

Applicants are encouraged to submit their application via this web site as early as possible.  Beginning July 31st, the Committee will begin issuing invitations and confirming placements into the final field.

During the application process, you will be asked for your credit card information.  Your credit card, however, will not be charged until you have been accepted into the final field.

Withdrawals prior to September 30th will be refunded their entry fees less a charge of $10.  No entry fee refunds will be made after September 30th. 

Entry Fee:

  • $285 Tournament Entry Fee 
  • $75 Local Qualifier

Housing Accommodations: For Junior & College Players, a limited amount of local housing will be available at no cost in our Volunteer's homes. 

Walking Only During Tournament Play:  

Competitors may carry their own bag, bring a caddie, or they may hire one of our caddies. However, unless prior arrangements are made with the approval of the Committee, competitors must walk during the competition.

If a club caddie is desired, the club has a limited number available for hire by the player. Please indicate your interest in advance on your application.

Carts may be used during the Local Qualifier.

Practice Privileges: Privileges of play at the course are extended to competitors from October 14, 2008. The fee for a cart, if desired, is not included.

The Local Qualifier includes one practice round (cart fee additional).

  •   October 13th - The "Pro"-Am  / Media Day
  •   October 15th -16th - Wednesday & Thursday
              Practice Rounds - Registration 1PM to 5PM
  •   October 17th - Friday - Cont. Breakfast 7 - 10AM
             1st Round  - Starting Times 8AM to 10:00AM
             Long Drive Contest/Cook Out 2PM - 4PM                              
  •   October 18th - Saturday - Cont. Breakfast 7 - 10AM
             2nd Round - Starting Times 8AM to 10:00AM                         
  •   October 19st - Sunday - Cont. Breakfast 7 - 10AM                     Final Round Starting Times 8AM to 10:00AM                              Cook Out 12:30 to 4PM                                                        Award Ceremony following play

Disruption due to Storms, Hurricanes: In the event the tournament cannot be played on the expected dates due to course damage from storms prior to the event, or evacuations required due to an approaching storm, the tournament will be rescheduled at the earliest practicable date.   Player Entry Fee refunds, if any, will only be made after consideration by the Committee of a suitable refund policy.
